Greeting Cards
- I had been working with PigSpigot for almost 2 years. Some of my work was entirely conceived of by me, some was commissioned, and some were made to be template cards.

A Country Doctor
In my experimental typography class we were given this story to interpret and re-present as we pleased. My approach was to focus on the shift from rational to irrational (and non-rational) parts of the story as in the Doctor's mind. The handwriting is meant to emphasize the of frantic, hopeless, nagging thoughts, while the loose rose illustrations reference simultaneously the sick boy's growing wound and young Rosa's lose innocence. It was important to me to maintain legibility for the reader, as Kafka's original text fuels the look of the piece.

Ode to Otiosity
These are 4 (of 4) affirmations in "my" book, Ode to Otiosity. The book is a collection of prose, poetry, and how-to's tailored to the lazy individual (certainly not me). Aside from the affirmations, the book is black and white and without images. I will probably update this with more spreads soon.

Village Alliance
The Village Alliance is a Business Improvement District (BID) in lower Manhattan. The new logo I proposed retains the comfort of familiar visual ties to the typeface and colors of the current logo while alluding to new concepts that solidify the Village Alliance’s role in the community. The introduction of an icon provides versatility in that it represents both progress (an arrow moving forward,) and convergence (lines coming together.) In addition, the symbol references the 8 in 8th street as the core street of the district. The goal in this new logo is versatility, both formal and conceptual. Whether the block format, the horizontal format, or the icon itself is implemented, the Village Alliance’s presence will be further recognized, understood, and appreciated.

The Berkeley Pit
Another hypothetical logo proposal—this one for a strange tourist attraction. I chose the Berkeley Pit because I had visited it recently in Butte, Montana. The Pit is a huge toxic lake that is both a national Superfund site and also Butte's largest tourist attraction. The icon's form acknowledges both the danger and the allure of the site, while it's color references the red tinge of the "water" in the "lake."
Following are 3 postcard suggestions, each containing a fact about the attraction. 2011 Branding, Design, Graphic Design -
Suminagashi
I call these sort-of suminagashi because the end product becomes increasingly removed from the original printmaking process. Each of these has a 20x30 print equivalent on glossy paper. I would like to make more with a new approach but lack the funds to do so.

The Glore Psychiatric Museum
For my Visual Identities class, though if the museum want it I'd be happy to give it to them. The Glore Museum is dedicated to the history of the treatment of mental health. Included in this category are some of the odd...to downright scary...methods of treatment. The logo is meant to be a bit off-putting, and hospital-like in starkness; the silhouette is of an ice pick, once used in performing lobotomies.

Hoss Pie Records
A logo for my husband's record label, HOSS PIE Records. The graphical elements allude to records, sound, and, last but not least, pie. I'm sure more things will incorporate this logo, in which case I will upload them here. Below is the eponymous Hoss Pie.
